Heather owns B&N Grading, which has grown into a multimillion asphalt and concrete company since started in 2010. She buys and manages the company’s fleet of equipment, paying special attention to safety features, and ensures that the equipment is properly maintained and services. She values customer service relationships with her suppliers.
“She believes information is also one of our greatest commodities,” says Thomas Heindl, director of safety. “Heather continues to increase her knowledge through various continuing education courses and industry events.”

Off the clock: Listening to music and attending concerts of all genres. She recently took up snow skiing.

Extracurricular: Supporting St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, Buckle My Shoe Foundation, Thompson Children’s Home, Second Harvest Food Bank, and HELP Pregnancy Center.
Fun fact: Heather still has the company’s first F-150; first roller; and first dump truck, which is dedicated to the first driver.
