Class: 2020 Age: 36 Company: Kiewit Infrastructure West Website: http://www.kiewit.com
Chris started with Kiewit in 2005 as a summer intern and has progressed through the ranks from field engineer, project engineer, superintendent, construction manager, and project manager.
Education: Bachelor’s degree, University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Accomplishments: I was the project manager of the $615 million Project Neon in Las Vegas, Nevada. We fully reconstructed the I-15 and US-95 interchange, which is the busiest interchange in Nevada, finishing the project 60 days ahead of schedule.
Fun fact: I’m restoring a 1972 Kenworth W900A truck. I recently completed a full out-of-frame engine overhaul and am working on cab and interior restoration now.
Favorite movie: “Hell Fighters” with John Wayne. I enjoy looking back in time to see how these guys shaped a story around their business and how they completed work without the modern equipment technology that we have today.
Off the clock: Traveling with my wife to Americana music concerts.
Extracurricular: Volunteering with Nevada AGC, where we built a walk-in cooler for a community garden in Las Vegas so they could store fresh produce harvested to eventually sell at farmers markets and distribute to the community.
