Brenda’s parents started Felling Trailers in 1974, and she joined the company in 2011.
She volunteers extensively in her local community, and has a passion for education. She worked with high schools and industrial technology teachers to create “Careers in the Community,” a class that brings 12 seniors into the Felling weld training center. Felling developed and instructs a training curriculum then pairs them with mentors on the production floor.
Education: Two bachelor’s degrees, University of St. Thomas.
Professional accomplishments: Revenue has grown more than 200 percent, and the number of employees from 120 to 280. Created and maintained a Quality Management System and secured ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Favorite book: “13 Ways to Kill Your Community,” by Doug Griffiths, because it is realistic, relative, and simply lays out a no-nonsense approach to build a positive community.
Fun fact: Teaches a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class twice a week.
Extracurricular: Serves and works with numerous community groups, raising funds for scholarships, families in need, and community projects. Also works with schools groups to provide educational opportunities outside of the classroom.
