Tyler is responsible for training, safety, and company culture. His training programs are now being shared with other company leaders, and he is a highly respected national teacher and mentor. He also runs the company’s milling department, and is a milling machine operator.
“In the off season, Tyler has forged the path to create business relationships with new clients that have exciting projects we are now bidding on,” says Patricia Spano, president.
Training: Studied business management, and has attended numerous sessions specific to paving. Holds an OSHA 10 certification, and flagger safety course certification.
Professional accomplishments: Speaker at the National Pavement Expo on hiring/training and building culture. Brought new technologies to the company, including automated grade and slope controls, drones for aerial photos, and video for marketing.
Off the clock: Skateboarding. I’m not sure where else I would have built determination like skateboarding gave me.
Favorite performer: Bob Seger. Last year, I got to see the man himself in concert.
