As equipment manager, Jones is responsible for managing $4 million in heavy construction equipment, pickup trucks, and trailers. He has demonstrated leadership skills by actively applying his knowledge to his employees around him and allowing them to play leadership roles while under his supervision, thus creating other leaders in the industry.

“He is a young talented man with a bright future ahead of him in the equipment industry,” says Gaspar Caracheo, lead estimator. “Joseph is eager to learn, but also lends an ear to other ideas and opinions.”

Education: BBA, Texas A&M University

Professional accomplishments: After four years as equipment manager, repair costs are down, the fleet is more reliable, preventive maintenance is being performed on a routine basis, and equipment rates are far more accurate and reflective of the actual costs of operating the fleet. I designed the equipment rate system based on the material taught by Mike Vorster and custom tailored it to fit the unique needs of Nelson Lewis.

Off the clock: Any kind of fishing. I am an avid bass fisherman, and love to fly fish in the Rocky Mountains.

Extracurricular: I am the Deacon in charge of organizing community events at the Marble Falls Church of Christ. I also work through my church helping Child Protective Services reunite parents with their children
