Matt, safety manager for Manhattan Construction Co., is the youngest member of Manhattan Construction’s safety advisory board. “Matt has developed a reputation of service and dedication that is unsurpassed by his peers and most appreciated by our clients who have come to recognize Matt’s ability to understand their project needs and deliver the desired outcomes while raising the bar regarding safety benchmarks,” says Kyle Nelson, project director.

Professional accomplishments: I was recently promoted to safety director for the Oklahoma City area after one and a half years of employment. I am the youngest Manhattan employee to be given that title. I was recently asked to join the Call Okie 811 operating committee.
Off the clock: I recently drove with my wife to Las Vegas for a friend’s wedding. We spent six days driving to and from Las Vegas and enjoyed the road trip with frequent stops, including a tour of the Grand Canyon.
Extracurricular: I am an active supporter of Rebuilding Together OKC, and participate in Rebuilding Day and the Construction Derby. I volunteered in hurricane relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina, and I organized a fundraising campaign for an injured industry worker to defray medical expenses.
