Worker Injured After Arm Caught in Machinery at Pittsburgh Site

A construction worker was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries Monday morning after his arm got caught piece of equipment at an industrial site in Oakland, according to a public safety news release.
Pittsburgh Fire, EMS, and police responded to the incident just after 9 a.m. at O'Hara Street and Thackeray Avenue where the man had been pulled into the equipment's machinery by his arm.
Medics were eventually able to release the man after disassembling the machine, according to the release.
The construction worker, who has not been identified, was taken to UPMC Presbyterian with life-threatening injuries.
No further information was immediately provided by the city.
