Navman Wireless has added options to its OnlineAVL2 fleet-tracking system—electronic driver logs (eLogs) and driver vehicle inspection reporting (DVIR).
The new options expand the system’s capability for corporate fleets that must comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association regulations. Both reports can now be completed online (through a link in the Navman Wireless interface) or in the field (through the Navman Wireless M-Nav 800 in-cab touch-screen navigation/message terminal) for instant driver access and roadside inspection.
Electronic filing of these reports, says Navman Wireless, reduces paperwork, increases driver productivity, improves resource utilization/load planning, and provides immediate notification of vehicle defects.
