Trimble Signs First Technology Outlet

March 11, 2025
SME Equipment is the first distributor authorized as a reseller of Trimble products.

SMS Equipment is the first equipment dealer signed on as a Trimble Technology Outlet. SMS, a Canadian Komatsu dealer, will now sell Trimble grade control, site positioning systems, and correction services technology directly to its customers. SMS represents Komatsu, Takeuchi, and BOMAG brands, all of which can apply Trimble technology.

Trimble Technology Outlets are a part of Trimble’s distribution strategy of adding authorized resellers to its channel. These resellers will represent a wide variety of manufacturers broadening the reach of Trimble technology, according to the company.

“Trimble has one of the most established distribution channels in the industry, and we are excited to be expanding it further with the addition of our first Trimble Technology Outlet,” said Ron Bisio, SVP, field systems, in a statement. “Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for contractors using all types of equipment to leverage Trimble technology to achieve smarter operations across their digital and physical domains.

SMS Equipment’s geographic reach, commitment to excellence and collaborative approach make it perfectly poised to deliver Trimble solutions to Komatsu, BOMAG and Takeuchi customers in Western Canada.”

Said Mike Brown, EVP, technology & innovation at SMS Equipment, in a statement:

“We’re thrilled to extend our long-standing relationship with Trimble and bolster our role as a trusted technology partner. Our ability to deliver the Trimble lineup streamlines our service and reduces implementation timelines, ultimately improving our customer support and ensuring they are maximizing the return on their investment in Trimble technology.”
