Nearly half of the machines in fleets do not have telematics system installed, and expense is at least one justification for the slow start. An encouragingly small percentage report that their upper management stands in the way of implementation of telematics, and an even smaller percentage do not see the value in the data. Efforts are underway to integrate telemetrics into back-end asset-management software, and one in 10 report some problems with that process.
