Challenger front-discharge concrete mixer truck from Terex Advance has a wheelbase of 185 inches and turning radius of 31 feet 6 inches, shorter than the company’s Commander and Charger models. The truck is designed for use in confined spaces and urban areas.
The truck measures 150 inches high, 101 inches wide, and 367 inches long, which provides ease of navigation while maintaining stability, according to the company.
Powered by a rear-mounted, 325-horsepower Cummins B6.7 diesel engine, the truck is paired with an Allison 3000 RDS 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 6x2 rear engine configuration features a three-axle system that supports a 50,000-pound GVWR: a Dana D2200W front axle, Dana S23-172 drive axle, and Hendrickson HLM tag axle.
The mixer's 6-cubic-yard federal bridge capacity enables it to handle
substantial loads despite its more compact footprint, according to the company. It has a Wabco 4-channel ABS system.
An automated wash system simplifies maintenance. The standard 125-gallon pressurized water tank and 50-gallon fuel tank support extended operation without frequent refills.
