Terramac RT14 is built with American-produced, 1/4-inch steel for durability and features multifunction joystick control (including dump functions), Eaton hydraulic pumps, and Parker IQAN-MD4 master display control system “for full graphical, diagnostic and controller area network (CAN) gateway capability," says the company.
The new model, using a 280-horsepower QSC 8.3 Cummins engine, has a maximum carrying capacity of 28,000 pounds and a maximum travel speed of 6 mph. Fully loaded, the RT14 has a ground pressure of 7.5 psi.
According to Terramac, the RT14 allows "an unprecedented degree of customization, featuring front and rear bolt-on attachments that enable mounting an array of specialized equipment, such as bark blowers, cranes, drills, generators and tanks." Standard units are available with either a flat bed or rock-type dump body. The RT14 is sized, says the company, to accommodate taller lifting devices, including digger derricks and man lifts, and the standard hydraulic system is designed to power attachments.
The CE-certified RT14 is available in both open- and closed-cab versions, and a ROPS (rollover protective structure) and FOPS (falling object protective structure) are standard. The RT14 offers a wide access door for ease of entry and exit, says Terramac, and visibility is enhanced with windows on all sides, a large mirror, and four available cameras managed by the Parker IQAN-MD4 control system. A tilt hood provides quick access to the engine compartment, says the company, and a "dog house" allows fluid and filter checks.
