Construction Worker Killed in Boom Truck Collapse in Houston

A construction worker was killed after a boom truck collapsed on a site on Interstate 45 in Houston.

According to a report from Fox 26 Houston, the family of 46-year-old Dislay Manuel Diaz Reburedo confirmed that he died on the scene on Tuesday afternoon. 

Authorities say around 1:50 p.m. Diaz Reburedo was pinned down by the boom truck.

Diaz Reburedo's family said to Fox 26 that he had been working with the company for a few months and had experience with construction. 

No other injuries were reported. The family was told the worker's body has been brought to Galveston.

The Texas Department of Transportation and the Occupational Safety and Health Association haven't disclosed anything about a pending investigation.
