A boom truck delivering building materials in Brooklyn tipped over, injuring two men sitting in a van that was parked beneath the boom.

The crane, operated by Newcastle Building Products, according to a report on AMNY.com, landed on the roof of the building on which it was placing the load. Images from the site show the Western Star truck on its side with the boom resting on the Ford van and the store. The van’s roof and cab were damaged.

A report on CBS News New York said the crane owner had been cited for several violations, including failure to safeguard the public and unsafe hoisting operations.

According to CBS, New York began regulating boom truck operation in November and requires a license for lifting in the city. The operator of the crane had applied for the license and was permitted to lift in the interim, according to the report.
