LiuGong sold its first 856H-E MAX  electric wheel loader to the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts at Conexpo 2023.

Andrew Ryan, president, says, “LiuGong is the world’s largest manufacturer of wheel loaders, so it makes sense for our company to lead the industry in the adoption and application of battery technology.”

The 856H-E MAX 856H electric loader is backed by a standard five-year or 10,000-hour warranty for battery, motor, and controller.

The 46,297-pound electric wheel loader is powered by a CATL 432-kWh large-capacity lithium-ion phosphate battery capable of 10 hours of working time for light applications and eight hours for heavy use. Its Intelligent Battery Management System can be fast charged in 90 minutes.

Intelligent controls include LiuGong’s Intelligent Auto Digging System that automatically carries out repetitive dig cycles to reduce operator fatigue. Load-sensing hydraulics, an EAT700 transmission with electro-proportional valve allows fast, smooth shifting, and independently controlled dual-motor drive provide maximum hydraulic lift with a load capacity of 12,786 pounds.
