Roadtec Shuttle Buggy Material Transfer Vehicle (MTV)

Roadtec traded axles and gears for hydraulic motors that control each wheel of the Roadtec Shuttle Buggy to make the material transfer vehicle easier to shift and operate. The company says the hydraulic system and motors are easier to work on than the traditional axle arrangement, and there will be less wear associated with the hydraulics. The Shuttle Buggy acts like a mobile surge hopper on asphalt paving jobs. Trucks dump mix into the Shuttle Buggy, which stirs the asphalt mix and conveys it to the paver hopper.
