The demolition of the Alaskan Way Viaduct has finally come to close, leaving crews to finish clearing the final pieces of the viaduct project on Thursday morning. According to My NorthWest, concrete from the demolition was reused to fill the Battery Street Tunnel. About 240 million pounds of concrete was recycled, along with 15 million pounds of rebar.
