Meeting the API CJ-4 oil specification for diesel engines, the newest member of the Chevron Delo product family is 100-percent synthetic, formulated using a blend of the latest dispersant, detergent, oxidation inhibition, anti-wear, corrosion inhibition, viscosity improver and de-foaming additive technologies. Delo 400 LE Synthetic SAE 5W-40 provides excellent cold-startup capabilities and the potential for improved fuel economy, especially when used in combination with the full Delo product portfolio, says Chevron. Formulated for pre- and post-2007 heavy-duty diesel engines and light-duty diesel pick-up trucks, the new 5W-40 is the third Delo 400 LE product to meet the CJ-4 spec, joining 15W-40 and 10W-30, and is fully backwards compatible with previous API categories.
