Models G206 and G208 Caterpillar multipurpose grapples are extensions of the tiltrotator product family. An integrated bracket provides minimal offset to optimize use on a tiltrotator, according to the company.
The Cat G206 grapple is sized for 5- to 6-ton excavators, and the Cat G208 grapple for 7- to 10-ton models. Maximum closing force is 3,260 lb.-ft. and 4,136 lb.-ft., respectively. An integrated cylinder load-holding valve maintains grapple closing pressure with no leakage, and a hard-mounted piston accumulator maintains grapple arm closing forces with shifting loads. Routing of the integrated jumper lines and hoses safeguards against damage and dirt infiltration.
