Caterpillar has added the CVP28 and CVP55 Cat vibratory plate compactors and relaunched the CVP28 and CVP55 models of boom-mounted attachments. The attachments are designed for the compaction of soil, sand, gravel, and asphalt.
The CVP range is performance-matched to all Caterpillar backhoe loaders as well as excavators ranging from the 302.7 to the 313. Compaction widths vary from 12 inches to 26 inches, and compact areas range from 2 square feet to 5.7 square feet. Vibration frequencies range from 2,000 to 2,400 vpm.
Rubber mounts isolate vibrations from the compactor attachment, minimizing vibration feedback to the carrier machine. The high efficiency gear-type hydro motor is vibration driven for consistent, reliable power. Access cutouts are laser cut for easy access to hardware when mounting the top bracket.
