Models L 526, L 538, and L546 Liebherr mid-size wheel loaders have been upgraded to Generation 8 with boosted performance including more horsepower and breakout forces.
The L 526 is a 153-horsepower loader with an operating weight ranging from 29,035 pounds to 32,560 pounds. Bucket capacities range from 2.6 to 7.2 cubic yards.
The 173-horsepower Liebherr L 538 has an operating weight range of 32,010 pounds to 35,385 pounds, and bucket capacities from 2.9 to 8.5 cubic yards.
The 185-horsepower L 546 Liebherr loader has an operating weight range of 33,973 to 37,412 pounds and bucket capacities from 3.4 to 9.8 cubic yards.
The steel construction of the front section of the loaders has been reinforced. The z-bar kinematics with electro-hydraulic pilot controls has larger hydraulic cylinders and more powerful working pumps. The improvements enable faster cycle times and more powerful work movements, according to the company.
Optional high-lift arms are an extended variant of the regular lift arm, and provide greater range and more efficient loading processes at different heights. A view-optimized quick coupler is available as well as “Solidlink,” a fully automatic quick-coupler system.
