Gehl’s new mid-frame R Series skid steer loaders—R135, R150 and R165—are radial-lift models with standard rated operating capacities of 1,350, 1,500 and 1,650 pounds, respectively. An optional counterweight increases ratings by 150 pounds for all three models. The R150 is a new addition to the Gehl range, and the R135 and R165 replace the 4240E and 4640E, respectively. An all-new operator’s station features an integrated digital display, and a pressurized cab enclosure with climate control is available. Tier 4 Yanmar engines are used in all three models, with respective gross horsepower ratings of 46.3, 46.3 and 69.9. The proportional auxiliary-hydraulic system delivers a maximum flow of 17 gpm for the two smaller models, and 18.9 gpm for the R150. Control options include T-bar, hand/foot and joystick (the latter only for the R165), and an optional self-leveling feature is operator-activated.
