The 797F rigid-frame haul truck now meets Tier 4-F emissions standards using selective catalytic reduction with diesel exhaust fluid. The aftertreatment system is modular for serviceability.
The 4,000-horsepower Cat C175-20 engine has “optimized fuel maps for customer focused on the lowest fuel burn,” according to the company, and productivity is the same as the Tier 2 version. Cat says the Tier 4 engine reduces total specific fluid consumption costs (fuel plus DEF) in most applications.
