Wacker Neuson RD 27 Roller Has Single-Lever Functionality

June 2, 2015

The 2.5-ton RD 27 ride-on roller has a patented multifunctional lever that contains buttons for directional control, all vibration options, and water on/off. The front frame is redesigned for increased visibility to the front drum.

Two drum widths are available: the RD 27-100 with a 39.4-inch drum and the RD 27-120 with a 47.2-inch drum. Single- or dual-drum vibration can be used along with a choice of high or low compaction force. Hydraulics adjust high/low force, allowing the machine to maintain peak horsepower in either setting, Wacker Neuson says.

A 37.5-horsepower Kubota diesel engine powers the rollers. The RD 27-100 has an operating weight of 5,470 pounds and produces a low/high total centrifugal force of 15,589/16,860 pounds. The RD 27-120 weighs 5,950 pounds and produces 15,285/20,232 pounds of low/high centrifugal force.
