Volvo Construction Equipment has opened a new parts distribution center in Toronto, Canada.
“We’re very excited with the opening of this modern, efficient parts distribution center, which is part of our strategy to improve uptime not only in Canada, but across North America,” said president Stephen Roy. “It shows Volvo CE’s commitment to provide our customers with premium machines and premium aftersales services.”
The center will enable the company to deliver parts the next day after an order is placed in most major markets of Canada. It will cut deliver time and enable dealers to restock more quickly, the company said. Previously, parts were shipped from the United States, which could be delayed as they were processed through customs.
“This Canadian parts distribution facility gives our Strongco customers improved access to critical Volvo OEM parts inventory on this side of the border,” said Oliver Nachevski, VP/COO for Strongco, a Volvo CE Canadian dealer. “This is a very exciting initiative, as both Strongco and our customers will benefit from enhanced parts availability, which enables us to offer next day express delivery capabilities.”
