The L350H wheel loader has been redesigned and delivers up to 10 percent better fuel efficiency than its L350F predecessor. It also has a next-generation powertrain hydraulics and new operator environment. The L350H uses a Tier 4-Final D16J engine, designed to deliver high torque at low engine speeds. The new loader also uses a larger bucket than the L350F, a 9.5-cubic-yard rock bucket. The new load-sensing hydraulic system, says Volvo, delivers improved response, resulting in up to 5-percent faster cycle times. The L350H’s fully automatic power-shift transmission allows the machine to work in an optimal gear range for greater efficiency in all operating conditions, says Volvo, and the machine’s Eco-Pedal has a push-back mechanism that engages if engine speed will exceed the most efficient range.
