Construction Equipment's Frank Raczon spoke to Kevin Andrews, Trimble's strategic marketing director for Autonomy, during the recent Trimble Dimensions conference in Las Vegas.
One of several technologies the company demonstrated at the event was complete autonomous operation. A dozer, excavator, and soil compactor were shown; each from a different OEM. Although the Trimble system is not yet for sale, Andrews explained the company's approach and philosophies on autonomy.
