Ditch Witch RT80 Trencher

Nov. 12, 2019

The Ditch Witch RT80 trencher has a 74.5-horsepower Deutz engine and has a static load rating of 35,407 pounds. With a plow, it provides 32,215 lb. breakout force.

The trencher is slimmer than its predecessor, with a footprint of 6.5 feet that allows it to work in residential streets without disrupting the surrounding area, according to the company. With a modular track-frame design, tires and tracks can be interchanged in the field.

It has three-speed, shift-on-the-fly ground drive system that allows operators to select the correct range without needing to stop work. An advanced cruise-control system senses engine load and automatically adjusts ground drive speed to changing soil conditions for superior traction and maneuverability.

The seat rotates 90 degrees with the operator.
