Aug. 23, 2021

Vermeer VXT300 truck-mounted vacuum excavator has an 8-cubic-yard spoil tank, 6-inch dig tube, and can carry up to 800 gallons of water.

The next-generation upgrade replaces the VXT8 Mega vacuum excavator. Overall height is 11.5 feet, and is marketed as a midsized power-take-off (PTO) vacuum excavator for projects where several holes need to be dug and drilling crews use large volumes of drilling fluid.

The Vermeer excavator is built on a 350-horsepower Kenworth T370 truck chassis with a 6-speed automatic 3,000 RDS Allison transmission. The truck’s PTO drive powers its Roots 624 vacuum blower with a maximum flow of 3,500 cfm and maximum suction of 18 inHg. The water pump can produce 10 gpm at 3,000 psi

One person can operate the vacuum excavator using a full-function belly-pack or handheld remote. The VXT300 also comes with a reverse flow option to assist with spoil offloading and clearing hose clogs. The spoil tank has a cam-over hydraulic door and in-tank washout.
