The McL 24C auger boring machine delivers 98,000 pounds of forward thrust and an auger torque of 6,339 lb.-ft. It can install casings from 4 to 24 inches in diameter.
It has a 24.6-horsepower Caterpillar diesel engine. Operator Presence Control hydraulic clutch helps to reduce spinback and the risk of machine rollovers, according to the company.
Redesigned track system incorporates rectangular steel tubing, thick, vertical rails, and the strategic placement of cross members for stability, the company says. Centralized operator controls include repositioned gauges, ignition switch, and engine indicators.
