The D24x40 Navigator horizontal directional drill has 28,000 pounds of thrust and pullback and 4,200 lb.-ft. of rotational torque. Sound has been reduced to 104 dB(A) with an operator ear reating of 82.9 dB(A).
Carriage speed is 240 fpm and rotational speed is 253 rpm. A 125-horsepower John Deere 4045 4.5L Tier 4 engine powers the unit.
A DigiTrak Aurora interactive, full-color touch-screen display delivers real-time, easy-to-view location information, and bore plans. The cab has been redesigned to excavator-style, which the company says gives operators better visibility.
