One person died and two others were hospitalized when a concrete mixer truck drove off Houston's Beltway 8 at Bammel North Houston Road and crashed on the feeder road below, according to a report from KHOU 11 News.

According to the report, authorities said the driver of the concrete mixer truck died. The incident might have been initiated when the concrete truck collided with a delivery truck in the westbound lanes of Beltway 8. The concrete truck crashed through a barrier wall and fell to the feeder road below, where it ended up upside down.

As the concrete truck fell, it knocked over a pole that fell on top of another car. The driver of the car was taken to an area hospital but she, along with the other people who were injured, is expected to be alright.

Authorities said five vehicles were involved in total, and have not officially said which truck was to blame for the initial collision on the Beltway.
