Driver Cited in Fiery Concrete Mixer Collision

Pickup truck driver rescues from burning vehicle.

A concrete mixer truck rear-ended a pickup truck in Mesa, Arizona, on February 18, causing the pickup to burst into flames. Bodycam footage show first responders rescuing the woman as the truck burns.

Video posted by AZFamily.com shows the cement truck hitting the pickup in the left lane of US 60, knocking it on its side and into other vehicles. The pickup truck caught fire. The cement truck ended up on the right shoulder after crossing five lanes of traffic.

According to a report by 12News.com, the 42-year-old driver of the cement truck was cited for failing to control the vehicle to avoid a collision. He was not identified.
