YouTube walk-around highlights the features of the Rivian electric delivery van

A Rivian delivery van operated by Amazon is the subject of a walk around by Auto Focus, a YouTube channel from Marques Brownlee.

Amazon has contracted with Rivian for 100,000 delivery vans by 2030. It currently has about 5,000 in its fleets. The van in the video is in operation at an Amazon facility.

Brownlee describes the van as an “office” for the driver and points out that the lightweight construction is designed to benefit the driver.

The Rivian 700 shown in the video has a cargo area of 660 cubic feet and GVWR of 9,350 pounds. Brownlee shows the indoor Level 2 chargers in the warehouse where the vans are recharged overnight.

Indoor features are also designed for ease of use for the driver, including a push-button feature that opens the bulkhead door between the cab and the storage area of the van. The door closes automatically when the truck is put in Drive. Safety features include grab bars painted Amazon blue.

The video includes a short ride and drive.
