An excavator being transported on Interstate 25 in Colorado hit a bridge then an SUV, killing the driver. A 10-year-old in the passenger seat received minor injuries, according to news reports.
Photos of the scene show the Case excavator lying on its side several yards down the road, the rear service door ripped off, and extensive damage to the bridge. I25 was closed for several hours, and the road over the Interstate remained closed.
A passing motorist captured the scene on video just after the crash.
