EarthPro Series of horizontal directional drills can be set up quickly, Astec says. Three machines are available: DD-65 MiniMax has 6,000 pounds of thrust/pullback force; DD-1215 with 12,000 pounds; and DD-3238, which provides 32,000 pounds of force. Drills maintain overall hole integrity, the company says, which promotes increased productivity. Users can operate in more narrow working environments, and single-joystick design enables the operator to maintain more performance focus. Sleek design provides easy access through the front and rear hoods. Estimated list price: $50,000–$200,000.
