D36X50DR Series ll features a rod-in-rod design that provides 1,500 ft.-lb. of rotational torque. As the inner rod powers the downhole tri-cone, the outer rod provides steering and backreaming rotations. Its dual-threaded rod design allows a drilling fluid course between the inner and outer rod, and through the inner rod for cuttings removal. The DR is a drill rod within a drill rod that opens up the water force to get all the water into production. It can be transformed into a standard drill in less than 30 minutes.
