The Peterbilt model 382, designed for vocational markets, is now available with expanded options. New for the 382 are higher axle ratings (up to 20,000 pounds front and 40,000 pounds rear), added frame-rail options (up to 11.625 inches), the Bendix ESP stability system and rear-suspension choices that include Hendrickson, Reyco and Chalmers. The 382 is powered by the Cummins ISL9 engine, which features a new electronic control module and improved airflow. Horsepower ratings range from 345 to 380 with a maximum torque rating of 1,300 lb.-ft.
