A worker was trapped under a mini excavator in a six-foot trench on a job site in Manchester, New Hampshire.
In a video posted by Jeffrey Hastings (below), Ryan Cashin, fire chief, said the excavator fell into the 20-foot-long trench, trapping the worker. He said the worker was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
Other news reports said the man was operating the machine when it tipped into the trench.
The rescue took 40 minutes, with rescue workers deploying technical rescue crews and a building collapse unit.
