Excavator malfunctions, falls into basement

A hydraulic line broke on an excavator working in Mechanicsville, Iowa, causing the machine to fall into a basement where it was working on a demolition project.

Local news reports quoted the owner of Corum Construction, who said the bucket had been extended when the line broke, causing it to tip into the basement.
