Operator Dies in Crane Accident

An operator was killed with the boom truck they were driving apparently crashed into a power pole in Malibu, California, according to news reports.

The truck tipped onto its side among power lines, trapping the driver. Rescue workers found the driver unresponsive, but because of the power lines were unable to approach the vehicle.

The driver was later pronounced dead at the scene.
