Fleet Masters Awards Nominations Open

Nominations for the 2025 Fleet Master Awards has opened. The AEMP Fleet Masters, presented by Construction Equipment has recognized excellence in fleet asset management for more than 20 years.

The Fleet Master Award recognizes outstanding equipment professionals who excel in meeting the unique challenges inherent in cost-effective, efficient, and effective management of mixed fleets of construction equipment and trucks. The Fleet Masters status is awarded to the fleet that represents a standard of excellence, raising the bar for equipment-management professionalism. A panel of industry experts selects honorees, from both public and private fleets.

Technology and innovation are driving this industry forward, but it takes insight and experience from these industry professionals within some of the most successful construction companies in the world to manage this progress for the betterment of business operations.

Two categories of Fleet Master are based on estimated fleet replacement value (ERV): less than $100 million ERV and more than $100 million ERV. The competition is open to the entire industry; membership in AEMP is not a requirement.

What makes a Fleet Master?

Fleet Masters Award candidates are judged on how their equipment organization or department excels in the integration and implementation of five management areas:

Finance: Financial management, acquisition, risk management, and warranty and performance guidelines.
Information Management: Benchmarking, life cycle costing, specifications, and technology.
Policies; Employee training, environmental, safety, and human resources.
Controls: Outsourcing, parts management, preventive maintenance, and shop facilities management.
Customer Service: Service, service marketing, communications, and service improvement.
