The Visual Alignment Indicator (VAI) Siping System provides truckers with early warning of alignment problems such as incorrect toe, camber, or rear-axle thrust, as well as side scrubbing or irregular wear patterns. Small sipes of various depths are equally positioned around both shoulder ribs on select Continental and General steer and trailer tires. Indications are drawn by simply comparing the differences in the number of indicators visible on one shoulder to the other shoulder. VAI siping has been added to seven Continental Tire models and four General models.
