Trimble’s Field Points software for construction field layout is designed to enable the creation of layout points in computer-aided design (CAD) models.
Field Points, says Trimble, helps field crews increase productivity by quickly and accurately matching the digital design on the physical construction site. This capability in turn, says the company, can minimize errors, compared with a manual process, and results in more accurate installation of systems and equipment in field layout work. Field Points was designed for building construction contractors or engineers who want to easily create field points within their CAD or BIM files, says Trimble, and the new software also provides “fluid creation of field points for most construction applications.”
