Rivian exceeds Q2 production expectations

Beats analyst expectations

Rivian built nearly 14,000 electric vehicles during its second quarter, which ended June 30. The company delivered 12,640 vehicles in the second quarter, which was more than analysts expected.

Although analysts thought 11,000 vehicles would be delivered, the company says the figures are in line with its own expectations for the year. It expects to deliver 50,000 electric pickup trucks and SUVs by year end.

Deliveries for the quarter were up 59 percent over Q1, and brings the year-to-date total to 23,400.

In June, Rivian signed an agreement with Tesla to provide access to Tesla’s Supercharger network for Rivian drivers.
