The app and its services connect users who need dirt and other aggregates with potential suppliers in their area.
According to the company, the app provides early knowledge of supply, identification of more than 18 soil types by region, the ability to request soil certification and geotechnical reports, and multiple communication methods (call, text, in-app, email). Users opt-in to a “Dirt Alert” service by confirming with their designated account manager. Soil Connect then sends an alert out either on behalf of strategic customers so that both parties know that a variety of materials are available (i.e. sand, gravel). When customers reply to the Dirt Alert and can meet the needs of the post, they will be connected via email. An account manager will follow up with users seven days later to confirm whether a transaction was facilitated.
