A spate of injuries among workers building the Purple Line Extension in Los Angeles has prompted officials to shut down the project, according to the Los Angeles Times. Tutor Perini O&G is the project contractor.
The report cited crushed fingers, falling off ladders, and being hit in the face with a hose as examples of “dozens” of injuries on the project.
Transit officials said the contractor had not addressed the issues, which resulted in the shut down.
