Powerscreen Relaunches Phoenix Recyclers

Oct. 30, 2019

Powerscreen will bring back its Phoenix line of screening machines used in recycling applications. The trommel machines screen and separate materials that can create recycled useable products.

“The global waste management market is becoming more and more prevalent as government initiatives are geared toward better environmental practices, so it is an ideal time to bring back the Phoenix range with its proven track record in recycling applications,” said product manager Neil Robinson in a prepared statement. “We are excited about bringing the Phoenix range back from the ashes and having these lucrative machines part of our portfolio once again.”

Powerscreen Phoenix 1600 tracked and wheeled trommel screens are designed to provide fuel efficiency and low operating costs, while also reducing emissions and noise levels due to the machine running at a low engine rpm. It has a 16x5-foot drum.

The Powerscreen Phoenix 2100 trommel screen is designed with optional features such as a heavy duty tipping grid or double deck vibrating grid. The machine performs equally well in heavy C&D applications as it does in high-volume compost production, the company says. The 180-degree swivel fines conveyor has an 18 foot 6 inch discharge. This swivel feature can be controlled via a radio remote while the machine is in operation.

The Powerscreen Phoenix 3300 trommel screen has the largest screen area within the Phoenix range, a 180-degree swivel fines conveyor, and a 19-inch discharge. A four-wheel-drive system has high-performance friction grip wheels that turn the trommel drum and give operators the ability to run bi-directionally. Options include a heavy-duty tipping grid or double deck vibrating grid.
