Case E Series compactors are available in both double-drum and combination configurations. Seven models are in the series, which replaces the company’s entire previous line of compact vibratory rollers.
The new tandem-drum compactors are:
- DV23E, at 33.5 horsepower and 4,920 pounds operating weight
- DV26E, at 33.5 horsepower and 5,440 pounds
- DV36E, at 43.9 horsepower and 8,290 pounds, and
- DV45E, at 43.9 horsepower and 10,340 pounds
The new combination models, with a smooth drum on front and pneumatic tires in the rear, are:
- DV23CE, at 33.5 horsepower and 4,600 pounds
- DV26CE, at 33.5 horsepower and 5,180 pounds, and
- DV45CE, at 43.9 horsepower and 9,520 pounds
E Series compactors have a completely redesigned operator interface, and new control features such as an electronic travel lever with an extended range of functions—including rpm settings, drive settings, and sprinkler system controls.
Drum widths range from 39 to 54 inches.
An operation mode selector offers three modes—loading, working, and transport—in order to maximize machine performance and fuel efficiency. Operators are also able to choose between two drive settings. Soft drive delivers a smooth ride during asphalt compaction applications, and an optional hard drive setting allows the operator to make swift turns, similar to a machine with a mechanical lever. An optional rear differential lock function is available on combination rollers.
Operators can also choose between either automatic or manual vibration engagement to meet their preference and to help avoid damage to the asphalt during starts and stops, while the offset tapered drums reduce asphalt tearing during operation around curves. The units come standard with a pressurized water system to ensure all-day water supply and consistent water spray to the drums.
E Series rollers feature an iso-mounted operator platform that minimizes vibration and reduces operator fatigue. A standard lateral-sliding seat provides operators with superior visibility to the drum edges on both sides of the machine.
E series rollers are designed for groundline serviceability. All fluid ports, drains and service checkpoints are grouped on one side of the machine for simplified maintenance.
