The BS 16 towed spreader from BOMAG is designed to apply powdered binding agents like lime, cement, or fly ash in an even distribution to stabilize and improve the substrate.
It offers a maximum distribution width of 7.9 feet and can be mechanically reduced to a 3.3-foot width in four stages.
The BS 16 features an independent drive system with enclosed hydraulic system for reliable operation. To ensure even binder distribution, the BS 16 has a computer-controlled automatic quantity control, letting the operator simply set the width. The automatic system even adjusts with the speed of the vehicle.
The two-axle spreader features a large 565-cubic-foot hopper capacity for high-volume soil stabilization projects. A radar sensor detects towing speed to ensure proper material distribution, and the spreader can be towed at up to 15.5 mph for movement around the job site.
